In the Workday Basics module, I participated in a comprehensive curriculum focused on mastering Workday technology. I learned to explain the rationale behind organisations' adoption of Workday, gaining insights into its importance in the contemporary business environment. The module required me to become proficient in the specific terminology associated with Workday, preparing me for effective communication during interviews and project collaborations. I navigated the system using the object-oriented model, developing a clear understanding of its structural elements. I also explored the significance of business processes and configurable security frameworks, applying these concepts to real-life scenarios that demonstrated their practical relevance. Additionally, I examined the functionalities of built-in reporting, understanding how it provides a unified source of truth for decision-making. In the Workday Beyond Basics module, I engaged in an advanced curriculum designed to deepen my understanding of the Workday framework and its applications. Building upon the foundational knowledge acquired in the previous module, I recognised the various ways businesses utilise and benefit from additional Workday products, enhancing my comprehension of the platform’s extensive capabilities. The course required me to explain how further configuration of the user interface (UI) can customise the user experience, allowing for greater personalisation and efficiency in navigating the system.
I learned to configure company and location organisations within Workday, which gave me practical skills for setting up organisational structures. Additionally, I examined how configuring security and business process features impacts user access, emphasising the importance of tailored permissions in maintaining data integrity and security. Furthermore, I explored how to share, schedule, and export reports within Workday, equipping me with the knowledge to facilitate effective communication of insights derived from data. Overall, this module advanced my proficiency in Workday technology and prepared me to apply these skills in real-world business contexts, reinforcing my capability to leverage Workday's functionalities professionally.
